The article highlights the results of a study on current trends and trends in early professional self-determination of schoolchildren in the Akmola region. The authors have developed effective approaches for the development of human resources in the agro-technical sector of the Akmola region in order to stimulate interest among schoolchildren in agricultural and technical professions for sustainable economic growth of the Akmola region. The agrotechnical sphere is a key sector of the economy of the Akmola region. The development of human resources in this area is necessary to ensure sustainable and effective agricultural development, increase productivity and ensure food security. The lack of interest of schoolchildren in agricultural and technical specialties leads to a serious shortage of personnel, hindering the sustainable development of these industries due to a shortage of qualified specialists. The agricultural and technical spheres are intensively developing industries, where the main trend is digitalization, which can affect changes in any stage of the technological chain in agriculture. However, the low attractiveness of this field, ignorance about its prospects, and underestimation by young people of those opportunities for career growth and material well-being create barriers to choosing these specialties, despite their strategic importance for ensuring food security and economic development. Increasing the prestige of agricultural and technical professions requires the transformation of ideas and knowledge about them through modern methods of early profiling aimed at generating interest and awareness of the value of agricultural and technical specialties.
