Publication ethics
The Journal’s editorial policy and publication ethics are based on the ethical principles for scholarly periodicals set out in the COPE Guidelines for Editors (Committee on Publication Ethics). These principles include the following requirements:
A manuscript must:
- At the time of submission, not be published elsewhere or under consideration by another journal;
- Report the results of original research;
- Present the work of the author(s), with the understanding that all authors agree to publication in this Journal and consent to the order in which they are listed;
- Include in the reference list only those peer-reviewed sources that were actually used in the research, and ensure that all such sources are fully cited.
For Authors
By submitting a manuscript to the Editorial Office, the author(s) warrant that they do not infringe any copyrights or violate publication-ethics principles. The author(s) grant the Publisher of Gumilyov Journal of Pedagogy exclusive rights in perpetuity to:
- reproduce the article (publish, disclose, duplicate, print or otherwise reproduce it) without limitation on the number of copies, and to distribute it by any means; each copy must bear the name(s) of the author(s);
- include the article in a collected work;
- bring the article to public notice;
- use the article’s metadata (title; author name(s)/rights-holder; abstract; bibliographic references; full text; etc.) by disseminating, making publicly available, processing, systematizing, and incorporating into various databases and information systems, including full-text repositories.
The territory for exercising these rights is worldwide.
The author(s) consent to:
- posting the article on the Journal’s website as Open Access upon acceptance for publication;
- distribution of the printed issue containing the article to libraries and other organizations and/or institutions.
The author(s) also grant the Publisher the right to store and process their personal data (surname, given name, patronymic; educational background; place of employment and position) indefinitely. Personal data may be retained and processed in various databases and information systems, included in analytical and statistical reports, and used to establish links between works of science, literature and art and their authors.
The author(s) bear full responsibility for any unlawful use in the manuscript of intellectual‐property objects or copyrighted materials, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The author(s) consent to the Publisher’s plagiarism check and any other procedures verifying compliance with publication ethics.
The author(s) authorize the Editorial Board to perform scientific and copy editing of the manuscript—without altering its key provisions—conduct peer review, and propose necessary revisions or amendments; publication will occur only after the author(s) have made any required changes.
The author(s) acknowledge the Editorial Board’s right to reject a manuscript if its formatting or content does not meet the Journal’s requirements, if its publication is prohibited by law or other official regulations, or if it violates principles of scientific or publication ethics.
The author(s) declare whether they have any conflicts of interest with other researchers or members of the Editorial Board. If a conflict exists, the author(s) must specify its nature and identify any individuals who, in their view, could not objectively review the manuscript.
The author(s) confirm that they have read and understood the Journal’s editorial policy, including general information about the Journal, the manuscript review procedure, the Guide for Authors, and publication-ethics requirements.
