Model of patriotic education of junior schoolchildren in modern conditions of primary school

Abstract

The article is devoted to an urgent problem of patriotic education among primary school children. The novelty of the article lies in the fact that the author has developed and tested in practice the author's structural and substantive model of patriotic education of younger schoolchildren, taking into account modern requirements of society and trends in the development of the education system. The following research methods were used: theoretical analysis of sources, comparative analysis, generalization, testing, experiment, methods of mathematical and statistical data processing. In order to determine the patriotic upbringing of younger schoolchildren, psychodiagnostic methods were used. These include theauthor's questionnaire “I know”, which evaluates a set of patriotic knowledge and information that, in our opinion, primary school students should possess, the questionnaire “My choice” (according to I.V. Kozhanov), and the technique “Unfinished thesis” (according to L.V. Bayborodova), adapted to the level of development of primary school students. In the process of testing the author's model, its effectiveness was established. The proposed components, criteria, indicators and levels of development of patriotic education of younger schoolchildren can be successfully used in practice.
