Abstract

The article explores the pedagogical ideas of Ybyrai Altynsarin and their modern interpretation in the context of the development of the educational system of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The proposed SIDO concept includes three key areas: the Silver University, inclusive education, and distance and online learning, forming a holistic model that reflects contemporary societal challenges and needs. Using the example of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the article analyzes the implementation of this concept in practice, demonstrating the potential for integrating traditional values with modern educational technologies. A SWOT analysis is conducted to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks associated with the development of SIDO in Kazakhstan, allowing for an objective assessment of its current state and development potential. The conclusion provides recommendations for improving teacher training, digital infrastructure, and lifelong learning programs aimed at enhancing the quality and accessibility of educational services, as well as strengthening the continuity of Ybyrai Altynsarin's pedagogical legacy in modern conditions. The work contributes to a deep understanding of the interaction between traditions and innovations in national pedagogy, cultural values, educational practices, and methodological approaches, and opens up new directions for further research and practical implementation.
