Self-assessment of future primary teachers in personal brand formation

Currently, market relations have entered the educational space. Therefore, a modern teacher needs to stand out among others. Modern realities emphasize the tendency of parents to choose a teacher for their first-graders, not a school. This trend indicates the importance of the personality of a primary school teacher. The formation of a personal brand of a teacher, allowing him to become in demand, successful, recognizable, is becoming a pressing problem today. The solution to this problem is proposed by the authors from the position of studying the influence of self-esteem on the formation of a personal brand. The article presents an analysis of the scientific literature on the research problem. By the formation of a personal brand of a teacher, the authors understand a process that includes awareness of one's own professional competencies, unique personal qualities and value preferences. An important structural component of this process, as indicated by the authors, is self-esteem. To achieve the goal set by the authors, the following research methods were used: quantitative and qualitative. The authors conducted a study, the total number of respondents was 229 future primary school teachers. The survey was confidential. The results of the study conducted within the framework of this article emphasize the significant role of self-esteem in the formation of a teacher's personal brand. The conducted research may be of interest to future primary school teachers, teachers of higher education institutions and all other interested persons.
