The article comprehensively explores the issues of social adaptation for people with disabilities. Despite the implementation of legislative frameworks and programs aimed at ensuring social protection and inclusion, individuals with disabilities still face barriers in accessing equal rights and opportunities within society. The work analyzes the development of the social protection system, educational and employment opportunities, as well as the role of public organizations. It addresses issues of inequality, stigmatization, and social isolation in the daily lives of people with disabilities, and classifies their levels of social adaptation as high, medium, and low. The authors reference studies by foreign scholars and present the theoretical foundations of social adaptation. They analyze the psychological, social, and infrastructural aspects of adaptation, emphasizing the importance of social and psychological support in this process. The article also highlights the necessity of creating a favorable social environment for people with disabilities and offers recommendations for developing support mechanisms and general societal changes. This research work proposes solutions to the complex issues related to ensuring a full-fledged life for people with disabilities in society.
