This article describes the experience of developing an educational and methodological complex (EMC) of the elective discipline «Uzbekali Studies». The life and work of Uzbekali Zhanibekov, a public figure with a distinct place in the field of historical science and ethno-culture, are considered an important component of training in the modern education system. In compiling the content of the discipline, the fundamental conclusions of domestic history, ethnography, cultural studies and Pedagogical Sciences are taken as a basis.
During the development of the EMC, the goals and objectives of the discipline, the results of training for students, the curriculum and thematic content, the structure of seminars and practical classes, types of control and evaluation, as well as the list of references, were systematized in accordance with scientific and methodological requirements. The content of the discipline aims to provide a comprehensive presentation of the historical personality of Uzbekali Zhanibekov, updating students' knowledge through his example in the development of Culture, Art, Science, and education.
In addition, when compiling the educational content of the EMC, sources were selected, including archival materials, Memoirs of contemporaries, research works, and information about the author's works of Uzbekali Zhanibekov. The subject of choice develops students ' intellectual abilities, contributes to the formation of historical consciousness and patriotic qualities.
In the article, the authors substantiate the relevance of the introduction of the elective subject «Uzbekali Studies» in the educational process and emphasize the Educational, Scientific and ideological significance of higher education. This experience is considered one of the new disciplines in passing on the lessons of the history of Kazakhstan to the younger generation.
